I was enrolled in a dental assistant program when I realized I wanted to study interior design and architecture instead. I’ve always loved art, colors and space planning but never thought to major in design until I began taking art classes at my local community college. Transferring to San Francisco State University, while also working for a company that encouraged and challenged my creativity during residential color consultations was what helped me learn the most in such a short amount of time. Luckily, I was also surrounded by insightful and well experienced individuals in the design field while I was in my early 20s, which is one of the main reasons for my knowledge on design today.

It has now been 6 years of being a commercial and residential exterior color consultant along with 5.5 years of higher education in interior design. I’ve never felt more ready to branch out and journal down my ideas and opinions, along with my visions. Living in Northern California has many advantages, including but not limited to; the beautiful vast Victorian architecture in San Francisco being 45 minutes away, the modern Ranch Style homes throughout Sonoma County, and the generous amount of elevated Craftsmen architecture throughout Marin County. It would be silly of me not to write, photograph or share these well deserving design spaces and statements with others who also have an eye for design.
